about

Gabe: You might not be able to tell, but this was originally about Eli's fish.
Eli D: This song boasts the fastest combined writing and recording time, requiring only twenty minutes of labor from start to finish.
Laini: This came out of a conversation I had with Jordan while pretending to make pasta. I said Look at that poor fish, his life is literally half empty, and Jordan agreed. The conversation ended with We should write a song about that! So this is the story of what we wish was Nemo's past, before he was bought by Eli D's family at the pet store.
Jordan: Eli's fish is kept in a half filled cylinder that is wider than it is long. There is nothing inside of it other than some blue pebbles. I was working on Superhero Teamup, so when I came down to record the guitar, the fish's name had been changed to Beef Gyro, which sparked some controversy.
Laini: [jahy-roh] [jeer-oh, zheer-oh; Gk. yee-raw] I think the pronunciation of Beef Gyro's name is all part (of) his legend.
